Dr Charles Tebbs is a piano teacher and composer. Based in Nottingham, he welcomes everyone from beginners and 'restarters' to diploma students. He covers music grade exams, theory and improvisation (including jazz piano) as well as more advanced levels of composition. He is also an accompanist, church organist and harpsichordist, playing for everything from music exams to choral concerts, parties and weddings. He read music at Girton College, Cambridge, subsequently undertaking a Masters at King's College, London and a PhD at the University of Southampton. He has studied piano with Penelope Roskell, professor of piano at Trinity College, London. Some of his own original music has been featured in various radio and TV productions worldwide and in 2010 he received a prize for his organ piece 'Prelugue'.
