I studied Classical piano for 4 years at Birmingham Conservatoire. Following that, I moved to Belgium for a year and obtained a Masters in Jazz at the Royal Conservatoire Brussels with distinction.
In 2008, I was the winner of the Nottingham National Jazz Piano Competition,
I am currently playing at Jazz venues and festivals in various parts of the U.K.
I have teaching experience in schools and at home, and specialise in Jazz teaching, whether performance or theory. However I am happy to teach Classical music, as I have a full Classical training.
Work on listening and practical musicianship are included in the lessons.
For advanced Classical players starting to play Jazz, this is an area I particularly enjoy teaching, since I have studied both genres. |
