I have always been musical, and from a very young age it was obvious that I was destined to have an instrument in my hand! I began learning the recorder at primary school and swiftly moved onto the violin, flute and when the opportunity arose I took up the saxophone and clarinet., , I strongly believe that any person who wants to learn to play an instrument should be able to, and that it shouldn't be something that only those who have plenty of money can afford, as if it was not for teachers who thought like this, I would not have had the chances I received., , For this reason you will find that my prices are competitive, at £15 for an half an hour and £20 for an hour. However, if you are enthusiastic and find money a barrier to playing I will do my best to adjust my prices to meet your needs. , , I am willing to put students through for both Trinity Guildhall and ABRSM exams in all the instruments I teach, as well as theory examinations should the student wish to take part. For the very young/young there is also the chance to take part in the 'Music Medals' scheme by the ABRSM or to have musicality lessons, exploring general musicianship.
