Upbeat is opening a new studio for Edinburgh at Portobello Community Centre for lessons each Sunday.It also has studios atEast Lothian, West Lothian & THe Scottsh Borders. The class sizes are 5 students with six drum kits so there's no waiting around to get on a kit., , The Beginner course is a come & try which runs for 10 weeks with no requirement to own a drum kit or read music. The Intermediate courses are designed to get students from Grades 1-4 and the Advanced courses allowing students to acheive Grades 5-8 using the popular & nationally used "Rockschool" syllabus., , As "Drumsense" approved tutors we also teach the ever popular "Drumsense Program" whose author "Colin Woolway" was Suzie Quatro's drummer & contributes to the UK's best monthly drum magazine "Rhythm"., , In addition to this you will learn to play songs from popular bands both modern & classic.
