I teach lead and rhythm guitar and also the area where they cross over. I teach my students guitar techniques they will actually find a use for., I teach from home in my studio where I have everything I need. Each lesson the student receives a set of printed notes for their "homework" aloYou do not have to read music to have lessons but if you want to I can teach you that too. My lessons involve some music theory as and when the techniques involved demand it., If a student wants to work on one particular aspect of technique or theory we can do that. No two students are the same - I tailor each lesson to the student's needs.

Students are given opportunity to perform in music festivals and concerts (highly beneficial since students also hear others play, and receive feedback/marks about their own playing from distinguished musicians/ adjudicators)., , Practical exams are optional (Rachel advises students enter for Grade 5 and Grade 8 but leave out the grades in between [since grades 1-8 do not demand much from students and they should know far more than the exam requirements. A grade 8 distinction does not mean you'll get into music college, which accepts students upon audition!]). However music theory exams are highly recommended and helpful, to support practical training (100% pass rate for all exams taken). If needed, you can work towards ABRSM or Trinity Guildhall Grade exams in theory and performance, A-level performance or exams, GCSE performance or exams, or any other structured learning you would like.
