Polyrhythms: Rhythmic Investigations for 12 years upwards.

The exhausting and sometimes over-demanding requirements of the National Curriculum programmes of study for music can leave teachers breathless. There is simply so much to cover, and sometimes the planning of a programme of study, its implementation and assessment go by the board in an attempt just to keep the children working to their potential. At other times, teachers feel de-skilled when planning a particular topic that is out of their immediate field of experience. Being sympathetic to the requirements of the classroom teacher, MusicTeachers.co.uk have developed a series of workbooks with accompanying teachers' notes, written specifically with the overworked or inexperienced teacher in mind. These ten-week projects examine aspects of music education and contain tips on assessment, recording and implementation in line with National Curriculum 2000 requirements.
