I offer private flute tuition in a comfortable home environment. I have many years of instrumental teaching experience and tailor lessons carefully to individual student's needs including a balance of technical and creative work. All levels of experience are welcome from complete beginner to Grade 8 and above. I cover a wide range of musical styles in lessons, including improvisation jazz and popular music. I taught the flute full-time with East Sussex Music Service for nine years and then for several years in Gloucestershire. I am now living in the Crediton area in Deovn. I really enjoy my work which over the years has involved individual and group tuition for pupils in Year 4 to Year 13. I have extensive experience in running flute choirs, conducting ensembles and preparing students for concerts, Associated Board Grade Exams and GCSE / A Level practical exams and recitals.
