Notes:

I Studied with Geoffrey Gilbert and Peter Lloyd at Royal Manchester College of Music - now the Royal Northern College - where I held a wind scholarship. After leaving, I combined flute recitals, chamber music and orchestral playing with teaching . I wrote a flute tutor - THE WELL-TEMERED FLAUTIST - which resulted in my going into music publishing. I have always enjoyed teaching and some of my pupils have become teachers and performers for their livelihood. I now teach at home - though, since I live a bit off the beaten track, I may be able to arrange to visit your home to teach you. When I lived in Staffordshire I taught for their peripatetic service as well as at the local teacher training colleges - Madeley and Crewe. I can also offer coaching for woodwind ensembles.
