Notes:

Teaching has always been a central part of my life and it gives me great pleasure to help people of all ages and abilities to unlock their capabilities whilst developing a passion for music.
I am a qualified secondary school Music teacher and have been privileged to have taught in a number of contrasting schools and educational settings.

At present I teach peripatetic music lessons in local schools and teach privately from home in my specialist music room. My students range in age from 5-75 and I have extensive experience in helping students with autism and emotional behavioural concerns express themselves through music.

My students attend lessons for a variety of reasons some are working towards ABRSM exams (most pass with merit or distinction), others need support with GCSE or A Level Music and some use the opportunity of retirement as the perfect time to focus on learning a new skill. I try to tailor my lessons to suit the musical interests and capabilities of the individual student. Whether you aspire to be the next Adele, West End leading lady, are a budding composer or a classical performer, I would love to hear from you.

In my free time I perform in a local choir and orchestra and I also play in an experimental rock band.
