I was a principal orchestral violinist full time from 1969 - 1980. I freelanced in London, the Midlands and Abroad between 1980 and 1990.
I have taught at The Oundle School, the Stamford Endowed Schools, Peterborough Regional College and with Lincs. Music Service, Cambs. Instrumental Service and privately for various periods since I started teaching in 1980. I currently teach in four primary schools, at Huntingdonshire Regional College (HuMS - Huntingdonshire Music School) and privateley in Longthorpe. I have experience also in Palm Court and Russian Folk Music as well as string quartet playing. I was included in an article in Classical Music Magazine to do with an unusual modern music performance. I believe strongly in teaching improvisation in the beginning. |
