A classically trained pianist, an experienced accompanist and a competent sight-reader, available for choral rehearsals, vocal and instrumental recitals, examinations.

20 years of piano accompanying and teaching experience:

As a piano accompanist collaborated with many singers, instrumentalists and choral societies around Yorkshire and Midlands, working with musical directors and conductors such as John Morris, Steven Roberts, Gary Griffiths, Andrew Booth, Melvyn White, David Hann, and Timothy Allen.

A qualified piano teacher, currently have slots and offering lessons for students who want to learn to play piano for fun and enjoyment by mastering sight-reading (note-reading) technique; and students wanting to enter exams: preparing for Associated Board graded exams in Piano or Theory and can also help with GCSE & A/AS Level Music tuition.

At the University of Sheffield studied piano with an internationally renowned pianist Benjamin Frith and piano accompaniment with a renowned Messiaen scholar, professor Peter Hill, and was awarded the Julian Payne Piano Recital Prize.

Celebrating Achievements:

Students have a 100% ABRSM and LCM exam pass rate with over 90% of pupils achieving Merit or Distinction in practical and theory exams.

In Autumn'15 Grade 7 student Elizabeth Shepherd has earned a place at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester.

Rates: £13 half hour lesson/£26 an hour lesson.

Booking a block of 4 weekly lessons (payable in advance) is at a rate of £25.00/an hour (£12.50 for half hour lesson);

NEW STUDENTS special offer: Book first 2 blocks of 4 weekly lessons at a rate of £20.00/an hour (£10.00 for half hour lesson).

30 minutes' lessons are recommended for Pre-Grade, Grade 1

45 minutes' lessons are recommended for Grades 2-5 ( including sight reading/music theory)

1 hour lessons are recommended for Grades 6-8 (including sight reading/music theory).
