Experienced performer (trombone and piano)/ brass and piano teacher: jazz, popular and classical styles and music therapist. As well as teaching privately (brass and piano), I have worked for three of the London boroughs as a brass teacher, general musicianship and keyboard tutor, as a project leader (music for special needs) and as a music therapist. My teaching approach is supportive and enthusiastic. I focus on musicianship and performance skills as well as developing excellent reading skills, aural awareness and technique. I led my own sucessful jazz quartet in London for 3 and a half years, before returning to the Isle of Man to bring up my children (in June 2004). |
