I'm a full-time piano teacher with around 60 students, teaching from home or within about 10 miles of Biddulph Moor, during weekdays, evenings, and some weekends.
I have a degree in Music (BMus Hons) from the University of Sheffield, hold the DipABRSM in Piano Performance, and I've been teaching for the last 10 years or so.
I first started learning piano with the Suzuki method, but after about a year changed to a very traditional teacher, then later had a much more personal teacher who encouraged me to continue. I try to incorporate elements of all of these styles as appropriate, aiming to teach in the most useful way for each student - working towards your personal goals rather than just following the same method book for everyone... Adult beginners or returners are very welcome - I bet it won't be as hard as you think!
I teach music theory separately if wanted, or we can just talk about it during lessons, as concepts become relevant to what you want to play.
