Notes: Benjamin Andrew started learning to play the piano at the age of six in his home town of Leighton Buzzard with teacher Dennis Jeanes. When he finished school Benjamin started his degree course at Trinity College of Music, London under the study of the late renowned British concert pianist and pupil of Heinrich Neuhaus, John Bingham. Benjamin has recently completed a year of study at the Franz Liszt academy of Music,Budapest where he studied under Jenõ Jandó and Kornél Zempléni, once a pupil of the great Hungarian composer Ernö Dohnányi. Benjamin has also studied with teachers such as Martino Tirimo, Mikhail Kazakevich. Currently, Benjamin studies with Yonty Solomon at Trinity College of Music. Benjamin has participated in and won several competitions including the Buckingham and Oxford Music festivals. He was the winner of the Milton Keynes festival of the arts 2001 where he performed works by Rachmaninov and Liszt. Recently, He was awarded the TCM trust Silver Medal for outstanding performance and contribution to the Keyboard Faculty.
Benjamin is also enthusiastic about chamber music and has played in
various ensembles including duos and piano trios. Benjamin recently gave solo recitals at St Martin in the Fields, the Pump room in Bath and St Lawrence Jewry, Bank, and gave two concerto performances of Gershwins Rhapsody in Blue with the St Giles orchestra and Milton Keynes cornerstone orchestra. Future concerts include a return to St Lawrence Jewry and the Pump room and a performance of Rachmaninov's 3rd piano concerto with Milton Keynes cornerstone orchestra
