A great encourager, Robert specialises in teaching adults - either those who learnt a little as children and want to pick it up again, or those who have always wanted to play an instrument but have never before had the opportunity. Robert believes in making music fun and helping students to reach their full potential because they want to. A teacher of more than thirty years' experience, Robert teaches piano, keyboard, organ and music theory.
Robert studied at the Royal College of Music in London, and has performed widely as a pianist and organist.
Robert teaches a variety of contemporary and traditional styles, and will enter students for examinations as appropriate when requested.
Robert has also gained experience in teaching music as a form of therapy for accident victims.
Robert offers private lessons in Cosgrove which begin with a free consultation, followed by weekly 30-minute lessons. The cost for 2008-2009 is £145 for ten half-hour lessons, payable in advance. Hour-long organ lessons (£29.00 each) are arranged individually and take place at St. George's Church, Wolverton.
Robert has public indemnity insurance via the Incorporated Society of Musicians of which he is a full member. |
