My name is Lisa Kirwan and I am an experienced Music Teacher who provides lessons in a friendly relaxed atmosphere at home in my well equipped music studio in Cheshire. I teach children from 5 years of age, young people and adults of all ages.
I have many years of teaching experience and recognise that everyone has individual requirements. I regularly enter pupils for music exams with boards such as the ABRSM and LSM. My students achieve an excellent level of success with many achieving merits and distinctions. However, I know that not everybody wishes to take exams and I will ensure that every lesson is tailored to your personal needs, thus making sure that each visit will be an enjoyable experience, bringing you closer to the music.
I graduated with a BMus(Hons), from the University of Hull after studying music for 3 years, specialising in performance and composition. Since then I have taught adults and children in my well equipped music studio in Cheshire, as well as in schools around Staffordshire Cheshire and the Wirral, for Music for Life and Tafelmusik (Wirral School of Music).
I successfully teach all ages and all abilities and it is my aim to provide inspiration and to instil the same level of enjoyment and sense of achievement that playing a musical instrument brings to me.
