Biography

Richard is an accomplished performer and teacher of piano and is capable of teaching, and playing, in various styles from Classical through to Jazz , Rock and Pop.

He performs regularly with his band, The Richard Abrahams Jazz Band, around Dorset and the West Country and has played in many top bands over the years in London and the Home Counties. He has also recently performed and tutored at the Dartington International Summer School.

He is an experienced music teacher and has recently finished as Head of Music at a local prep school. He has also taught piano, theory, composition and trumpet to a high level at some of the best schools in the country, including; Tudor Hall (Oxon), Sibford (Oxon), and Wykeham House (Hants).

Richard is also an accomplished composer and has had works performed in concerts both in this country and abroad, and has written music for TV adverts and plays.
