From the outset, Isabel inspired me with her enthusiasm and passion for the cello. She began by putting me at ease (as a very late starter I was anxious about my abilities as a potential musician). She has always been infinitely patient with my difficulties in grasping music theory and has employed many different ways of engaging me with this knotty topic. I have not only learned to sightread but also how to really understand about improvisation - and most importantly, how to feel confident with it. Her approach to teaching is reassuring and inspiring. I consider myself very fortunate to have found Isabel as my cello teacher and mentor.

Isabel's talent in music and dedication in teaching makes her a wonderful teacher to learn from. Her lessons always keep a perfect balance between technique, theory, and musical expression.
