Biography

I am a guitarist, bassist and keyboardist from Huddersfield. I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Popular Music Studies from the Leeds College of Music. I have been an electric guitarist for over 10 years and teaching for over 5. I also have an up to date Enhanced CRB check.

I teach in a comfortable, relaxed setting from my home in Huddersfield. I have experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. I take a professional and individual approach to each student. As every student is different I focus strongly on considering their own specific needs and have a vast collection of lessons prepared to help guitarists of all abilities achieve their goals. I take great care planning each one of my lessons before hand to ensure the lesson is informative, entertaining and above all easy to understand.

I have experience playing with a number of bands and artists around the West Yorkshire area covering a variety of styles including blues, rock, pop and metal. This practical experience has given me a strong foundation in performance. I specialise in improvisation and composition alongside other key areas of musicianship including theory and technique.
