Biography

Steve osman is a guitarist and composer currently based in the west country. A performer who has worked with many bands / acts and has the expertise to play in a wide variety of styles. A highly experienced studio artist with many varied and wonderfull sessions in his history.
Also a solo guitar virtuoso, capable of playing anything, from classical to punk on his electro acoustic guitars. Steves solo playing covers a huge amount of varied and interesting material and is a highly sought after act for functions such as weddings, corporate events, support for name artists, etc. Most recently Steve entertained the crews and public for the "Transat Race" in Mountbatten, Plymouth. for eight days in a row with four performances a day !

Steve has been teaching guitar for over 15 years. Many former students are now professional musicians. and many of these students were taught from scratch. The first stages of learning any instrument are the building blocks for the students future. Steve's method of teaching has proved very successful.
Types of tuition are as follows: Electric Guitar, Nylon string acoustic (spanish/classical), Steel string acoustic, Synthesizer Guitar, Bass Guitar, Music Theory, Sight Reading, Improvisation, Using computers for Music and much more. Advanced students or Singers that are learning the Guitar to accompany their Voice, may want to take advantage of Steves digital recording facility's in order to create their own high quality demonstration CD. Students are encouraged right from the start to express their own musical leanings, or in other words the music that is chosen as source material is the music the student aspires to play and not just examination material.
