Biography
Tom began his musical career at the age of twelve when he took up the electric guitar.
He went on to undertake a BTEC ND in popular music and then a BA Honors degree in Music Composition, keeping himself busy performing in ensembles, playing music from countless styles and genres. It was here that he developed his musical passion and creative abilities, gaining insight into everything from classical to sureallist theory and harmony, which would ultimately influence his playing and compositional skills from there onwards.
Tom has been part of several different musical groups and projects during and after University, the most notable being his current band, Carpathia, who specialize in Progressive Metal. He is also a skilled studio producer, having written and produced his own solo album 'Forever April Winter'. He also co-wrote/directed/performed in a rock opera entitled 'Into The Freezing Moon'.
He has recently played at the Camden Jazz Cafe and live on the BBC
Tom teaches for several schools/academys and is keen to take on new private students.
