Biography

Lucy Mawson has been playing the piano for 19 years and has much experience in teaching, performing and accompanying. In 2007 she graduated from the University of Surrey with a BMus (hons). During this time, she studied piano and concert performance under Clive Williamson and Mari Nagahashi. Lucy was also given the role of concert manager for a recital by acclaimed pianist Nikolai Demidenko. Recently, she worked with the BBC teaching an actress to play piano for a role in a TV drama. She is currently studying with Professor Robert Orledge for her DipABRSM (performance).



Lucy is passionate about the piano and likes to encourage pupils to enjoy the music they are playing and feel confident in their ability before embarking on graded examinations. She has experience teaching a wide range of ages and abilities and has accompanied graded exams, diplomas and recitals for various instrumentalists.



Lucy is fully CRB checked and offers lessons in the studios of Rox School of Dance and Drama (dependent on studio availability) or in the comfort of your own home.
