Biography

I have been playing drums for 5 years my first drum teachers was Russell Gilbrook who has played along side such legends as Ozzy Osbourne, Van Morrison and recently became the drummer for the band Uriah Heep. I am now taught by Nigel Sanders who has played for well known cover bands such as Free Bird and Blondee (Blondie tribute band) and also played with the show We Will Rock You. I am currently studying Music Technology at South East Essex College and I am building up a portfolio of recordings and live sound.

I have performed in 4 bands each with a different style my first band "FeLL" was a metal band influenced by Metallica and Iron Maiden. My second band "Cyclosarin" was a progressive metal band influenced by Tool, Mars Volta and Motorhead. My third band "Korona" was a punk rock band taking influences from Sex Pistols, Oasis and The Who. I have played gigs up and down Essex. My current band "Zahir" is a electro pop rock band taking influences from a variety of styles from funk to metal. I have shared the stage with bands like Nex, Fei Comodo, From almost the end, Enter Shikari and performed with upcoming band Paige at their first gig.

I taught an African percussion group at school with about 10 people turning up weekly. I also arranged a concert to raise money to buy a drum kit for my school. I have worked in the drum department at Professional Music Technology in Southend. I have also helped to promote Colchester punk band Koopa whilst they was up and coming.
