Biography

Freelance violinist.
Former member of English National Ballet and Scottish Ballet orchestras.
Former violin student of James Coles, Raymond Cohen (London) and Alexandre Brussilovsky (Paris).
Former Co-Leader of Orchestre International de Paris, Principal 2nd violin of Les Soloistes de Berry and Orchestre des Arts Florrisants.
Member of Classics Plus violin and keyboard duo, and quartet player.

Studied viola with John White, Sylvie Boisvert, and Rosemary Sanderson.

I have been teaching for over 20 years and many of my students have worked through their grade exams and continued onto Higher Education (Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Birmingham Conservatoire, Universities etc)).

I like to take students who want to enjoy themselves during their lessons. I'm always keen to see students progress and I realise that exams are not appropriate for everyone (for lots of reasons - including nerves!!), which is why I have a number of students who just learn for fun.

What's important to me is that the quality of their playing is good, they are good to listen to whatever their level, and they enjoy playing as much as I do.
