Biography
Aimee Penman has been teaching singing for four years. She teaches adults and children privately and has also worked in a Prep School giving one-to-one singing lessons to 8-14 year olds and running the school chamber choir.
Aimee grew up in Scotland and has been singing since the age of 9. She studied Music at the Ian Tomlin School of Music, Edinburgh Napier University and classical singing with Joan Busby.
During her time at University, she was picked as a soloist two year's running for Scottish Ballet's production of Raymond Brigg's 'The Snowman', which led to her singing the soprano solo in Haydn's 'Harmonie Mass' and John Rutter's 'Requiem' with The Bearsden Choir.
Aimee has been involved in various choirs including the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus, the Edinburgh International Festival Chorus and currently sings with London Contemporary Voices.
She has over ten year's performance and recording experience singing classical, pop/easy listening and jazz repertoire as a soloist, in duos, in original bands and cover bands, in ensembles and a cappella groups.
She currently sings at weddings and events, writes and performs her own material and teaches singing.
