Biography

I have been teaching the Piano for over 23 years. I have a degree in music from Liverpool University and am also a qualified primary school teacher. Piano teaching is my full time job and I feel very privileged to be able to earn my living doing something I love. When my children were small I ran a pre-school music group in York. I have experience of teaching all ages of pupils from the little ones to the mature learners. Playing the piano is very educational as well as lots of fun. I can enter pupils for ABRSM exams if they so wish and I also have little concerts for them to perform in at Christmas. I am classically trained but I love all kinds of music and always work hard to try and find music my pupils love and can relate to.
