Biography

Anthony Whittaker was born in Warrington in 1968. He studied piano with Peter Wild and Organ with Ann Bond. After acquiring the LRAM diploma in 1989, ARCO and LTCL in 1991, he graduated from the University of London in 1994 BMus (hons). He has also completed the Cert Ed and PG Dip in education at John Moores University and was recently elected a Fellow of the Academy of St Cecilia. He has an MMus degree in composition from the University of Liverpool.
Anthony is an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and an A level practical examiner for OCR; Anthony recently completed a two month tour of Hong Kong for the ABRSM: he will tour Singapore in 2005. He sings bass with Canzonetta Chamber Choir and is happily married to Stephanie and has a daughter, Charlotte.
