Biography:
Jo Hampson-Gilbert began her musical studies at the age of six, and won a full scholarship to study at Trinity College of Music, London where she achieved the BMus (Hons) degree.
Jo is the manager of Arcosanti Music, and regularly performs at functions, weddings, coorporate events, has appeared as a guest artist on cruise ships and undertakes recording work for various record labels. A flexible musician, Jo performs with various orchestras and ensembles as well as playing the Violin in folk groups.
Jo is active in the promotion of musicians and is the driving force behind the Arcosanti String Quartet and Duo.
Jo is a qualified Music teacher and has years of teaching experience both in the classroom and teaching Upper Strings. She has taught a variety of ages and abilities and has worked as coordinator of Music in the independent sector as well as for Music Services.
Jo currently teaches the Violin at King Edwards School in Bath.
Rates:
£15 per half hour or £30 per hour
I can prepare pupils who wish to do graded music exams with ABRSM or Trinity Guildhall. |
