RECENT PERFORMANCES (Selection)
1999: Tchaikovsky Piano concerto no. 1 with Helensburgh Orchestra
2000: Numerous solo recitals in Scotland including Edinburgh Society of Musicians, Ayr Arts Society and others.
2001: Recitals in Scotland and Northern England
Participated in 1st Chethams International Piano Summer School for Pianists
Performance of Prokofiev Piano Concerto no.3 with Edinburgh University Symphony Orchestra
2002: Performance of Shostakovich Piano Concerto no.1 with Edinburgh University String Orchestra, as part of 10th Anniversary Celebrations. Participated in London Masterclasses and the School of Performance Mastery, Kiev, Ukraine. Performance of Stravinsky Concerto for Piano and Wind with New Edinburgh Sinfonietta.
2003: Various solo performances. Performances of Cesar Franck Violin Sonata and Kabalevsky Cello Sonata. Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto no.1 performed in Kiev with the State Symphony Orchestra of the Ukraine.
2004: Participant in Kiev School of Performance Mastery, playing Grieg Piano Concerto, Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition
2005: Performances of the 4 Chopin Ballades at the Reid Hall, Edinburgh, and Pictures at an Exhibition at the Glasgow Art Club. Performance of Beethoven Piano concerto no.3 in Kiev with Chernighev Philarmonic Orchestra
MASTERCLASSES
I have participated in masterclasses with Bernard D’Ascoli, Philip Fowke, Hamish Milne (as part of Scottish Piano Competition Masterclass Series), Audrey Innes, Berndt Goetzke, Radoslav Kvapil, Sergei Dukachev and others.
OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION
In addition to the above mentioned performances, I work regularly as an accompanist and chamber musician, performing works from the Piano Trio and Piano Quintet repertoire, as well as more unusual ensembles. Since October 2001 I have been employed as a keyboard Skills tutor at the University of Edinburgh, where I am actively involved in the realization of new works for piano by post-graduate students, and for the past 9 years I have enjoyed teaching privately around Edinburgh with great success. I am also currently studying for my Masters degree in Musicology.
