Qualifications:	CT ABRSM (Certificate of Teaching from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) Full CRB Enhanced Teaching since 2000 Regular gigging for over 10 years with jazz, blues, funk,latin, big band and function bands.
Instruments:	saxophone - alto, tenor and soprano sax flute clarinet jazz theory
Genre/Style(s):	I specialise in jazz, but teach all genres. Any age or ability are welcome.
Ability Levels:	Beginners to Advanced
I am experienced and successful in teaching any ability and age. I'm a relaxed and patient teacher and happy teaching complete beginners to advanced students. I am the jazz woodwind tutor at Bath Spa University, one of the 4 teachers at the Blowout Saxophone School and also teach in primary and secondary schools in Bath. I work as both a instrumental teacher and professional musician. I teach all the fundamentals of playing well. As well as teaching how to read music notation, I am also successful at teaching improvisation. I can suggest music for you to work on, or help you with any music you’d like to bring along. Should you wish to take grade exams, I have a 100% pass rate. I use both the ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall jazz and classical syllabuses, depending on your preference. I have had many students pass grade 8 jazz with distinction.
