Biography
I started learning the Cornet at a very early age, in the Guildford Salvation Army Brass Band.
Since then I have played in several school orchestras, the South West Surrey Concert band, Alton college Jazz Band, Big Band, Chamber Orchestra and Brass Quintet. This has given me a varied and practical musical background. During this time I passed GCSE & A-Level Music, Grade V Theory and Grade VIII Practical (Cornet).
In September 2000 I moved to Huddersfield, to study for my music degree. During this time I was tutored by the renowned Phillip McCann, & I played in the University Brass Band.
I gained my 2:1 Bachelor of Music Degree (with honors) in 2004. In the same year I married Katherine York. I feel very much at home in Huddersfield, & have many friends here, especially in Community Church, Paddock.
