Biography

I spent my formative years in the Royal Marines Band Service which reflects my eclectic taste in music.


On leaving the Royal Marines I studied Piano,Flute and Composition at Cardiff University.


I entered the teaching profession. During my teaching career I was Head of Music in various schools.


In addition to my classroom career I was appointed woodwind tutor and conductor of the County Schools Orchestra.


My private teaching developed upon early retirement from the classroom.


I teach Flute, Piano and Composition/Theory to students of mixed age and ability.br />

In addition to teachihg I market myself as a 'cocktail' pianist playing at functions, weddings, celebrations and entertaining residents of care homes.
