Biography

Rhodri Williams-Wandoch has studied composition with John Metcalf, Robin Holloway and Jeremy Thurlow. He began his career in composition in Wales where his music has been played in festivals such as the Vale of Glamorgan Festival of Contemporary Music.
He studied music at the University of Cambridge, where he played in many ensembles, wrote music for two Britten Sinfonia workshops conducted by James MacMillan, and continued exploring wide musical interests including contemporary music, free jazz and music theatre.
In 2007 he met the concert pianist Natalia Williams-Wandoch to whom he is now married. He also works in schools and diverse education settings, and is training for a PGCE.
