Biography
I am a professional soprano based in Bristol. I am a busy, working professional soprano soloist and have appeared at a wide variety of venues such as Snape Maltings, St Georges Brandon Hill, Salisbury Cathedral, St Martin in the Fields, Bristol Cathedral, Bath Abbey, Dorchester Abbey, Cheltenham Pump Rooms. My performing work is made up of recitals (music clubs, churches etc), solo work for Choral Society oratorios, and guest solo appearances with orchestras singing works such as Strauss Four Last Songs.
As a teacher I work 1 to 1 with a wide range of pupils of all ages and abilities. I feel very strongly that music is about having fun and expressing one's emotions or communicating with others. I develop close working relationships with pupils to foster self-confidence and provide a safe environment in which to pursue music for its own sake. Exams, auditions, concerts etc are all catered for but are not in my opinion obligatory, and plenty of my pupils are exploring music 'behind closed doors'.
I have a large, comprehensive and wide-ranging library of music and scores and am able to advise and guide all pupils accordingly.
