Biography

I started piano lessons at the age of 6 because my musical talent was apparent from an early age. From my junior school years, I knew that I wanted to teach the piano. When I left school I was offered a place at Birmingham School of Music (now Birmingham Conservatoire)where I studied piano under the tuition of Renna Kellaway. There I gained my Piano teaching Diploma, along with a Diploma in General Musicianship and a Graduate Diploma. I gained a Certificate in Education (Music Specialist) and I taught music in the classroom for a few years, during which I also trained the school choir and tutored various instrumental groups.
Over the years, I have witnessed the power of music to build creativity and confidence in people of all ages'



I am also a qualified Counsellor and have seen the power of music help people through difficult times such as bereavement. I am, therefore, convinced of the therapeutic value of playing an instrument.
