Biography

Friendly and Experienced Teacher offering Instrumental and Vocal Tuition at a Beginners to Advanced level at a North London Base (N10). Can teach privately at homes when including travel expenses.

Instruments offered: Clarinet, Flute/Piccolo, Soprano/Alto/Tenor Saxophones, Recorders, Piano and Voice (musical theatre and popular).

Music Theory can also be incorporated or taught separately to increase musical knowledge and also to pass Grade 5 Theory to progress into the higher grades.

I also offer accompaniment for music exams and general accompaniment and audition preparation for professionals, students and those who want to sing for pleasure.

My training includes the Birmingham Conservatoire [BMus (Hons)] in music performance and a MA degree from the Central School of Speech and Drama in Musical Theatre.

I have vast experience as a performer working in the West End, No.1 UK Tours, Tours in Germany, Belgium, Italy and North America, Cruise Ships, Television, Musical Director, Workshop Leader and as a soloist. I also have playing experience with Arcobeleno Venti as a chamber quartet and the CBSO.

Teaching experience includes: Warwickshire County Music Service and Music Lincs also working privately for schools around the Warwickshire area prior to moving to London. I have 100% pass rate for ABRSM examinations including 3 distinctions at grade 8. I am also prepared to teach other syllabi including Guildhall Trinity and LCM.

As an active performer, I am aiming to do the majority of my teaching on Sundays. However, please do contact me as an alternative day can be arranged. I offer competitive rates.
