Throughout my career I have had exposure to a wide variety of challenging music, and have met hundreds of musicians with wildly varying abilities.

By conquering the challenges of the music I have performed, and by careful observation of the strengths and weaknesses of the different musicians I have worked with, I have developed what I believe to be a very comprehensive teaching style, capable of handling any pupil, of ANY age, and ANY ability.

I teach Piano and Keyboards at a Grammar School in Bournemouth, and am currently the Musical Director for BOS Musical Company (I also do occasional work for other local companies and groups)

In addition I gig all over the country playing keyboards with The Deadringer From Hell - a rock opera featuring the music of Meatloaf. I also play with local covers band the Usual Suspects and other tribute bands such as The Bowiexperience and Terry Nash Tributes (Meatloaf, Grease, Rokky Horror, Blues Brothers, Commitments) and several others.

I also have the ability to teach rhythm to a high degree in conjunction with the Drum Kit, which is always a great instrument to learn to help your co-ordination and rhythmic skills which you can transfer to your other instruments!

From working with various Choirs and Theatre groups over the years I have also developed some comprehensive techniques for teaching people how to sing both solo and in choirs!

The biggest thing I have always found is that pupils find their teachers intimidating, this is the first thing I try to avoid. I try to ensure that I keep my lessons fun and light hearted to allow you to ENJOY the instrument which is above all the most important thing!
