| Ability Levels: |
Beginners to Advanced |
I am a performer, teacher, composer/music arranger and music typesetter by trade.
I teach people of all ages and adopt a sensitive and encouraging approach when teaching children. If you or your child has always wanted to be able to sing, play the piano or get to grips with the organ then my experience and expertise will be of invaluable benefit in you achieving your dreams.
As a composer, I specialise in contemporary music with a particular interest in extended techniques and micro-tonalities on woodwind instruments.
Assistance and ideas can be provided with students requiring help with GCSE and A Level music composition. I concentrate on getting students to think about establishing and developing ideas. I then use my skills and experiences to manipulate and enhance their ideas through various thought-provoking exercises.
Professionally teaching all ages and abilities from beginner to diploma levels.
I adopt the philosophy that students (beginners or experienced) should be taught correctly from the very first lesson. I achieve this through meticulous research and from guidance obtained from my professional experiences and University tuition. I focus on establishing and maintaining a solid technique, which is complimented with structured theory that enhances the learning process whilst aiming to keep lessons fun and informal.
Please be aware that I operate a 24 hour cancellation policy on all lessons.
