Miss Rebecca Nash Premium Member

Rebecca trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she graduated with a 1st Class degree under the tuition of Huw Warren, Dick Roberts, and Keith Tippett. Whilst at the college she was awarded the Uri Caine prize and also The Friends of RWCMD Prize for Music. Rebecca was also winner of a Worshipful Company of Musician’s Silver Medal 2007 this year.

Rebecca regularly performs with her own band (The Rebecca Nash Quartet); she also plays for the Conservatoires UK Big Band, the BBC Big Band of Wales, Dolan/Nash Project, the Invisible Circus Production, and the Jeff Spencer Band. She is also a member of the folk-jazz fusion ensemble Tamlin, who are making their name in UK. Rebecca is also musical director for SWAN Theatre Co. whose past productions include A Doll’s House (2007) and The House of Bernarda Alba (2006). Rebecca has performed at many festivals such as Glastonbury, Isle of Wight Jazz Festival, Llangollen Jazz festival, Priddy Festival, as well as many clubs throughout the UK. She played for the opening of the Wales Millennium Centre, the opening the Senate Building for HRH the Queen, and has been filmed for S4C.

As a teacher Rebecca’s projects include: Outreach Work in Wales, tutoring on the Jazz Summer School in Roujan, France (run by Nia Lynn), tutoring for the Bristol University Big Band, as well as private teaching.
