Biography

The founder of drumcabin.com, Christopher Evans started playing percussion professionally in the Army in the early 80's and has been playing and teaching ever since.<br /><br /><br />
<br /><br /><br />
He currently plays with professional Ceilidh band 'Five Minutes To Midnight' and with Celtic Rock band 'SHKYLA' as well as 'depping' in a wide variety of bands. A busy percussionist, Chris has been appointed Principle Timpanist with the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra.<br /><br /><br />

Chris is currently researching a PhD at Durham University (in music education) as well as developing his teaching practice at drumcabin.com. He lectures on Percussion and Conducting and he will be presenting courses in Percussion again this year at the M4P Summerschool of Music in Yorkshire and at LEA's in the Midlands area.<br /><br /><br />
<br /><br /><br />
An active conductor, Chris recently returned from professional conducting engagements in Norway and has many engagements planned for the remainder of the year.<br /><br /><br />
<br /><br /><br />
Chris has recently returned to his multi-instrumental roots to offer band tuition to GCSE and ND students (playing guitar, bass, keyboards and drums).
