I work a lot with beginners, adult beginners in particular but I am happy to accept all ages and standards. I have agreed to the Music Leader code of practice. I have a valid safeguarding certificate from Cheshire East and Cheshire West Councils. I run sessions for school age children to be creative musicians from 5+ looking at all aspects of being a musician and experimenting with different instruments. Early Years and Nursery Music Sessions I am an active music teacher for Cheshire East Council music service. I also play in a jazz quartet on clarinet, alto saxophone, vocals and flute. www.simonstreetquartet.co.uk I play in the contemporary group Edges Ensemble on recorders, flute and whistles. I am a composer studying this at masters level and I also write songs for children. I have run songwriting summer schools for cheshire council and been a part of many in Huddersfield and with Opera North. I am also a La Jolie Ronde Licensee and teach French part time.
