I have 14 years teaching experience, both privately and in schools and colleges in Central Scotland with a high success rate for exam entries. I am familiar with ABRSM and SQA requirements and encourage students to perform at every opportunity.
I have worked as a professional musician for 8 years, playing, recording and touring with:
The Banana Sessions, Black Cat, Bombskare, The Ceilidh Experience, The Chans, Das Contras, Dropper, Chris Bradley, The Dirty Martinis, Donna Maciocia, Ellens Glen, Fat Sam’s Band, The Freaky Family, The Horndog Brass Band, Human Equivalent, James brown is Annie, The Jazz Bar Big Band, Joe Achison Quartet, MOJO, Mike Kearney Trio, Polymyth, Pseudofunk, Rise Kagona, Spontaniacs, Sub Opt and Tuesday Heartbreak as well as cruises with P&O and freelance orchestral work with Scottish Ballet, Edinburgh Sinfonia and Edinburgh Symphony Orchestra.
I have recorded performances for BBC1 (tv) and live sessions on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio Scotland. I have enjoyed playing around the world with tours to Germany, Holland, Finland, Norway, Spain, France, Italy, Turkey and The Caribbean.
