Gary is the former Head of Chemistry at Southampton City College. He has also taught at Exeter College and Kaitaia College, New Zealand. He has over 25 years teaching experience including post graduate courses in education for Southampton University and many Jazz workshops courses for a number of organisations. He is the former co-ordinator of the integrated Teignmouth Jazz Workshop / Jam Session / Jazz festival program and is currently the coordinator and a tutor for the Devon based 'music performance education group' (www.musicpeg.org.uk)
Gary is in the stables of the legendary composer Mike Westbrook (www.westbrookjazz.co.uk) and features in both the The Village Band and The Westbrook Big Band. He has appearied at the London Jazz Festival five times, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, and broadcast live on Radio Three. He appears on a number of CD recordings. Gary appeared at the Liverpool: European Centre of Culture 2008 concert series.
He is a member of the musicians union and the association of british jazz musicians
Contrary to what this lot would suggest he does have a sense of humour.
For your reassurance he has clear CRB, list99 and police computer records and will produce this documentation as a matter of course. |
