Biography

I began playing saxophone in Essex 'soul bands' during the late sixties, then after a year playing on a cruise liner and a ballroom residency in Derby studied at Leeds College of Music. A summer season at a holiday camp followed,then after moving to London in 1973 I began a residency playing tenor sax, baritone sax and flute with the Tony Evans Band at the Empire Ballroom Leicester Square.The band had regular BBC broadcasts and toured backing artists such as Tom Jones and Gilbert'O Sullivan.
