Biography
Sebastian Stanley, the 27-year-old English pianist, was born in southern Spain, later moving to Britain where he now resides in Hertfordshire. In 2008 Sebastian graduated with Distinction from the Royal College of Music (London) with his performance based Advanced PGDip. Sebastian’s tutors have included Emily Jeffrey, Niel Immelman, Ruth Nye and renowned international teacher and competition adjudicator Christopher Elton. <br /><br />
Since graduating Sebastian has pursued a performing and teaching career and has given masterclasses in private schools around England. Sebastian has given solo classical recitals on cruise ships all over the world, in the USA, Germany and toured all around UK. His concerto performances include a wide range of composers, Liszt’s, Rachmaninov, Beethoven, Lambert, Grieg, Schumann and Mozart.<br /><br />
Winner of several international prizes including the coveted Chappell Medal at the RCM and 1st Prize in the International Hindemith competition in Germany, Sebastian is well on the way to becoming a highly successful international soloist and professor. He has received master class tuition from some of the biggest names in the piano world, namely Menaham Pressler, Claude Frank, Gary Graffman, Olga Kern, John Lill, Joanna MacGreggor and Stephen Kovacevich to name a few. <br /><br />
