Biography
A guitarist, singer and songwriter since 1966, Simon Tittley first tasted success in the music industry in 1984, working as a producer and songwriter for WEA International. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, he produced three critically aclaimed albums with top Thai artists.
Leaving Thailand he was signed to Swiss-based Euro label Top in 1989 releasing a CD in Europe, the original version of 'Broken Heart & Shattered Dreams'. He was signed to US indie label Apeiron Records in 1991, releasing a remixed US version of 'Broken Heart & Shattered Dreams' in late 1993.
In 1994 Simon returned to his native Herefordshire in the UK. He established his Planet Zog studio and began writing and producing corporate soundtracks. He has worked for Sony, Mercury Communications, Dixons and T-Mobile.
Simon currently gigs with The BOHO VIBES, a band comprising of current and ex-pro musicians who specialise in late 60's jazz-rock crossover music.
Simon teaches guitar and bass professionally and works to develop the careers of young artists. He is currently producing jazz guitarist Lee Jones' second album 'Songs from the 13th Hour' and a debut CD 'Ease Back' by blues rock singer/songwriter/guitarist Tom Ivey.
Simon is a founding member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Accademy of Recording Arts & Sciences.
