Biography

Studied viola, violin and piano at RCM JD, Bristol University and at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where teachers included Roger Chase and Jack Glickman. Have been closely involved with European String Teachers' Association since 1986, including chairing the London centre and being on the national management committee, organising numerous training events and elected to its Council in 2011. Freelance player with chamber and symphony orchestras, chamber and contemporary music groups and have taught in both maintained and leading independent schools and at GSMD Junior Department. Currently viola tutor for Surrey County Youth Orchestra and the UAE-based Youth Orchestra of the Middle East.
