Biography

Miss Chen has equel ability on both piano and violin. From age 8 she studied in music school for special ability kids and all the way music school until finish a master degree.

Because of her exceptional ability, it's agreed by the school that violin and Piano can be both of her first studys. Later on she swiched to violin as 1st study and piano as 2nd study for work oppotunities.

However, because of this unique educational experince she had. She is very capable accompany students on the piano,the pupils get the overall idea of the piece instead of one single melody line. She usually accompany her students in the ABRSM exam, save the parent trouble and money rehersing with another pianist.

Loretto is delighted to announce the appointment of Kiki Chen as concert violinist and teacher at Loretto junior and senior schools.<br />

Miss Chen was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree at Taipei National University of the Arts and has completed a MMus degree at Birmingham Conservatoire with a scholarship.<br />
<br />
She has recently performed at the Birmingham Symphony Hall, Town Hall, National Indoor Arena, Adrian Boult Hall, The Old Joint Stock Theatre, Longborough Opera Festival, Birmingham ArtFest and Battle Proms across the UK. She has toured with orchestras in South Africa, Swaziland, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Toronto, Vancouver, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
