Are you looking for music tuition for yourself, or for your child?
Are you interested in learning a brand new skill or perhaps restarting lessons after a long break?
Then get in touch with me today and let's start working towards your goals!
My name is Daniel Bramley and I am a versatile piano and keyboard player who has been performing and teaching for over 15 years. I teach ALL ages, from fun and engaging lessons with young children, to advanced piano classes for children & adults taking grades, right through to classes for adults just looking to sit down and learn some tunes for their own enjoyment.
When teaching I always seek to engage my students with music that is interesting and relevant to them, and in doing so I have covered a wide array of genres, so please do get in touch if you have any specific goals, no music is too weird!
As well as teaching lessons on standard pianos and digital pianos, I can teach lessons which deal with the nitty-gritty of keyboard and synthesizer playing if that is something which you want to look at. I am also versatile with computer music and production, so if this is what you're looking for, YES we can do it!
In my music lessons I always cover:
- Proper Piano/Keyboard playing technique
- Building up an interesting repertoire of pieces
- How to improvise & play along with other musicians
- Understanding the useful basics of music theory
- Reading sheet music & notation
If you don’t know anything about music or piano playing, don’t worry! I can get you started and playing music from the first lesson. I believe that anyone, no matter how “unmusical” they think themselves to be, can achieve piano-playing proficiency if they are willing to put time into learning and work closely with a teacher.
Or, if you have learnt piano in the past but want to start again, I will make sure you relearn the basics in a straightforward and relevant way, whilst quickly putting you forwards onto more challenging pieces that you want to play.
I also specialise in teaching children, I currently work in two local primary schools. The youngest age I have taught so far is 4 years old! When teaching little ones I make sure to keep the lessons engaging and fun, whilst still ensuring they are learning fundamental musical skills. The coordination that piano playing offers is unlike any other academic skill as it requires intricate finger dexterity as well as a combination of focused listening and reading skills. Learning any instrument like this can really help with a child’s cognitive development. (In fact piano playing is mentally stimulating and hugely beneficial to people of all ages!)
As a professional musician, I have had incredible opportunities to travel all over the world to play music, have played in some bizarre and amazing venues and made lots of good friends along the way! But I also love sitting at home playing music to myself and writing music for my own enjoyment. I believe music making is one of the most rewarding experiences, it really can change your life, and so if you are interested in pursuing your own musical journey - I'd love to be a part of that!
I currently live very close to Forest Hill station, and can teach lessons at my home, but I usually travel directly to my students home (if that's more practical).
For no extra cost, I can travel to teach anywhere in Southwark & Lewisham boroughs. I will travel further afield but for an extra fee.
£20 for a 30 minute lesson
£35 for a 1 hour lesson
I am happy for students to pay for one lesson at a time, so if you only want to try one lesson, there's no pressure to sign up. But I do however offer a lower price rate for booking multiple lessons:
5 hours of tuition = £175
10 hours of tuition = £300
Thank you for looking! - If you're interested or have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch. I will aim to respond immediately.
((I am also available as an accompanist for performances or music exams.))
Fee (30 minutes): £20.00
Fee (60 minutes): £35.00
