Voice lessons can cover musical theatre, opera, art song, oratorio, jazz, pop, rock and anything in between! My degrees are in classical singing but I have taught musical theatre and commercial song for 5 years.
For piano and music theory students I cover basic to intermediate musicianship skills.
For speech I can provide rehabilitiation for vocal fatigue or other unexplained pathologies. I teach techniques for presence, freedom, and fullness of the natural voice. |

Notes:
I teach all levels of voice (both speech and song), beginning and intermediate piano, music theory, and can serve as a coach or accompanist.
My instruction is highly encouraging, energetic, and positive while remaining realistic and forthright. As a teacher, I balance holistic and mechanistic approaches. I use imagery and abstract concepts to help students explore their expression and consider their analysis of art, but follow with very fact-based explanations for the development of their skills.
Should a student be looking for a professional career: l I firmly believe that academic and vocational success in the arts is a skill which can be garnered by any willing, engaged individual. Every student requires a personalized model for accessing and processing information. Private study is pivotal.
